The FSSAI has notified these draft regulations to amend the Food Safety and Standards (Food products Standards and Food Additives) Regulations, 2011.
This draft lays down compositional requirements for so called complementary foods.
According to FSSAI, such foods may be prepared using cereals, legumes and pulses, oilseeds, fruits and vegetables, milk and milk products etc.
